| The American Populist Party is playing a new game - it's called Confront Your Congressman!
Here's how it works:
During this upcoming election cycle, you will have many opportunities to see the candidates up-close and personal. There will be media events, Town Hall meetings, even the usual weekend barbeques and fund-raisers.
Whenever you have the opportunity, Confront Your Congressman.
But, don't tell him he's full of it, that's not the point. Make him go on record. Ask him this question:
Mister (or Madam) Congressperson: What will you do, when a bill comes before you that it clearly outside the scope of the powers granted to the federal government by the Constitution of the United States in Article I Section 8?
Provide a few examples if your Congress-critter starts stuttering. The "healthcare reform" bill is an obvious example - forcing US citizens to enter into private contracts against their will is clearly outside the scope of the granted federal powers.
Ask the question - and see how your Congressman responds. We don't care "how" they respond, as long as they go on record. The thing to look for though, is the non-answer. If they try to evade the question, follow up and ask it again. The more people who ask, the better off we'll all be.
And we'll warn you in advance: in the early stages of this game, it is very likely that you will be asked to leave the event, just after asking the question. Our Congressmen don't like to be confronted like that. But it is your right to do so - and not only that, it is your duty as a patriotic American and a voting taxpayer. It is your duty to confront your elected representatives and ask them the tough questions.
This game is brought to you by the American Populist Party. Our candidates will answer the question, even if the Republicans and Democrats won't - because we stand for the People of the United States, and they don't. You will see the truth in that, the moment you start playing this game.
